Qty :Not only as kitchen utensils soapstone was used by our ancestors for other purposes too, like this chandan rubbing stone.
This flat stone is an ideal tool for making fresh sandalwood paste at home. Water is sprinkled on the platform and the sandal wood is rubbed in circular motion creating the paste.
Used during puja/occasions and also could be a part of you skincare.
It is great for grip and balance and is strong lasting for generations.

These are carved out of soapstone, a naturally occurring soft stone. Soap stone has been used in India for thousands of years for carving and for making vessels. In many households, it is passed on from generation to generation.
It has has no artificial colours used.
They are natural and from the earth. Each piece is carefully hand chiseled by artisans from Tamil Nadu. We aim to keep these traditional kitchen ware in use and want their artisanship to be preserved as well. Before we brought it to you we visited the artists who make them.
VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW (USAGE)
- Best to Wash them only by hand.
- Rinse in water after use.
- Rinse them in warm water with mild soap.
- Dont use a very abbrasive pad to scrub them.
- Make sure to dry them off well with a clean cloth.
- Please note, they will crack/break if you drop it down. So please handle with care.
