This is raw rice and is not parboiled like the usual basmati rice and hence wont have the same smell or flavour as regular basmati rice.

Nutrition value goes down with parboiling and hence it is avoided.

This rice is meant for multipurpose usage and not specifically for pulao. For that pulao rice or seeraga samba is recommended. by us.

This Pusa 1 variety is grown in Jhutasa Village in Jammu. It is about 1.5 years old.
