This variety is such - some of the fruits might be hollow inside. Just remove the skin, slice and eat it. If cut when ripe, it will be quite sweet.

*In this variety best to remove the tough skin & consume the juicy fruit contained.

Preparation Tips :

wash the fruit
cut the crown stalk
cut into half / slice lengthwise

If you're, planning to consume fresh pieces directly :

peel the skin by hand ( easier to peel when sliced ) and eat the fruit

If you're planning to cook / roast in honey :

roast the slices with skin on
while warm, peel away the skin

Fresh Figs are very versatile, go great with sweets and savoury alike.

There is so much you can do with them, here are some of our favourites :

• Make a thick luscious Fig milkshake

• Add them into a salad - goes well with feta & roasted walnuts

• Simply caramelise them and top warm figs over some icecream/yogurt

• Add in into your desserts

• Make into a Jam/Compote : helps preserve them longer, great with bread/roti
