Blood Orange

Comes from a farm in Rajasthan. Please note it will look like regular malta/ kinnow from the outisde. Few Fruits will have red tinge on the inside. Few may not have.

 Blood Orange, as the name suggest, will have reddish tinge inside the orange. Juice made out of this will also be reddish in colour.

The blood-coloured flesh of these oranges is because of the presence of anthocyanins in them. Anthocyanins belong to a family of water-soluble pigment which is responsible for imparting colours like red, purple, blue. It is often thought that these oranges are genetically modified, but they are actually not.

If you love Oranges, then you should definitely try the exotic Blood Oranges. Don't fret at their name as once you have this succulent fruit you will certainly fall for it. They look like regular oranges from outside but are a little different from inside.

Blood Oranges are crimson- coloured delicacies with dark red flesh. Scientifically known as Citrus Sinensis, these red-hued oranges trace their origin to the 18th century when they originated in the South Mediterranean region.
