Pineapples are a good source of vitamin C and manganese. These tropical fruits are also a good way to get important dietary fiber and bromelain (an enzyme).

Will ripen in 3-4 days. To make it ripen faster remove the crown (green leaf part) and place it upside down at room temperature.

Did you know: that the lifespan of a pineapple plant is 7 years and even more interesting is the fact that the fruit is borne only after the 3rd year. Every year thereafter each plant produces only 1 fruit. 1 FRUIT PER PLANT PER YEAR, WOW!!!!
