Seeraga Samba Rice (Broken) is made from the same traditional Seeraga Samba variety, known for its fine grain and natural aroma.
The grains break naturally during milling and handling, without any impact on taste or cooking quality.
This broken rice cooks faster and turns softer, making it ideal for idli and dosa batter, pongal, kanji, curd rice, and other soft-texture dishes. It retains the characteristic fragrance and flavour of Seeraga Samba rice, while being more economical than whole-grain rice.
Grown in the fertile regions of Tamil Nadu, this short-grain rice gets its name from its tiny, seeragam (cumin-seed–sized) grains. Some of it could be broken.
