Grown in traditional farms, these mangoes are usually harvested slightly raw and allowed to ripen naturally at room temperature. As they ripen, the skin turns a mix of green and yellow, and the fruit develops a rich, tangy-sweet flavour that many people remember from childhood.
The pulp is soft, slightly fibrous, and full of juice — perfect for eating by hand, making aamras, or blending into juices and milkshakes. It may not have the long shelf life of hybrid varieties, but the taste is fresh, local, and true to its origin.
