It is simply the dried form of coconut. All the water has been dried out by keeping it under the sun.

You can chop into cubes, slice it, grate. You can even roast it to slightly brown and powder it.

Great for using in curries, easy to add in chutney prep. We love adding it to in our chutney podi.

By itself also makes a yum snack some add spices and roast it. You can also use them over sweets and desserts.

Since the water content is lower it has a longer shelf life than fresh coconut.
