When figs ripen, they become soft, and you can confirm their readiness by gently pressing them. It's advisable to consume figs promptly upon ripening. Keep in mind that figs have a very short shelf life, and there's a possibility that 1-2 fruits in a box may develop fungus or spoil while in storage, particularly because no fungicides are applied.
